Corporate Governance
In 2003, the Australian Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Council released a set of best practice recommendations for the Corporate Governance practices of listed public companies. In 2007 the ASX Corporate Governance Council undertook an extensive review and in August 2007 the Council released a revised Statement of Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations, which revised Principles became effective from January 1, 2008.
Virax's Corporate Governance policies were updated to be consistent with the Best Practice Recommendations issued by the ASX in 2003 and are as outlined in this Corporate Governance section. These policies and practices are consistent with the Recommendations of the ASX Corporate Governance Council and will be reviewed and updated so that these policies and practices are consistent with the revised Principles.
We will continue to monitor and update our Corporate Governance Practices in light of ongoing developments in legal requirements and best practice.
