Fowlpox Virus (FPV) has been chosen as the delivery vehicle for Virax's immunotherapeutic products. The fowlpox vector has been shown to have an excellent safety profile when tested in human clinical trials. While retaining the ability to present the introduced genes (antigens and cytokines) to the immune system FPV does not replicate in human cells.
